Mityomere Borehole

We have been informed that after the drilling the contractors discovered that the water tables in this area were so low. They have advised us to find another site where the borehole will be erected. It is unfortunate that the site in Mityomere is not suitable for a borehole after the surrounding school and communities’ hopes have been raised. As a team we are suggesting rain water harvesting in this area as an option for this community.

With consultations with the community leaders, a bore site has been identified and recommendation from the district is pending. Community members have advised recommended Rwoma Community members in Kinyogoga Sub County in Nakaseke District. The community is in dire need of clean water. Below are photos of the current water sources they access.

About Us

My Statement: Ever since I learned that safe drinking water is not available to all children, it has been a goal of mine to help. Goals: I hope to provide at least one well a year to the people of Uganda. Eventually, I would like to put a well in every village in Uganda. The Ugandan Government is helping me identify sites where it is possible for us to put a well and/or library. The library opened in our first well site (Kamira) is the first library housed in a primary school in all of Uganda. I would like to speak at schools other than my own to raise awareness for our cause, as well as educate Seattle of how they can help. Max an
